Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for promptly and safely performing repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures and systems.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical, electrical, heating and cooling systems.
Conducts preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventative maintenance duties.
All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of South Central Primary Care Center Inc.
Employment Status:
Full-time Hourly - FSLA Non Exempt Status Duties and
Responsibilities:
Complete daily equipment rounds and make repairs as required.
Performs basic repairs on plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
Contacts vendors as necessary.
Participate in Risk Committee meetings, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.
Perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments.
Provides suggestions and developing solutions as needed.
Perform basic electrical/plumbing troubleshooting, repair, and construction as required.
Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
Test new or repaired equipment to assure satisfactory performance.
Keep equipment and job sites in a clean and orderly condition.
Work in accordance with OSHA safety policies and procedures.
Work from ladders, lifts, elevated places, and confined spaces as required.
Document work completed; report job outcome/supplies used written and/or verbal.
Submit requisitions for repair/replacement parts as necessary.
Work with solvents, degreasers, lubricants, and other common industrial chemicals.
Work with minimal supervision.
Regular hours/shifts may vary maintenance coverage needs dictate.
Perform other job duties as assigned by Management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs on basic plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to read and interpret manuals, documents, and drawings.
A positive, customer service-oriented attitude.
Self-starter who demonstrates professionalism and can work independently.
Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
OSHA and safety training certifications preferred.
Must have basic hand tools.
Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Current Georgia Driver's License 3
years related experience and/or training Must own basic hand tools and appropriate storage for the tools.
General mechanical knowledge, including A/C, plumbing, and industrial electrical knowledge.
Ability to read prints, schematics, manuals, etc.
Ability to troubleshoot.
Use of common measurement tools and gauges.
Basic computer skills, including email and internet.
Physical requirements:
Subject to lifting fifty (50) to seventy (70) pounds.
Repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, standing and sitting, with or without accommodation.
